Honest answer: when to use each

Use BMad Method if…

You want a real method for turning requests into shipped software without losing the thinking — right-sized planning, explicit decisions, and specialist perspectives on demand. It is free, MIT-licensed, and there is nothing gated behind a paywall.

Use Brainfile if…
